Third Grade Sunset Trees

Third grade looked at trees at sunset (or sunrise). They drew their trees with oil pastel and completed their works of art with watercolor! A few kiddos wanted to put leaves on their trees and one decided to do a palm tree (when we Googled sunset trees, palm trees also came up as a search result). The focus of the assignment was drawing real things, looking at nature, and looking at color so I wasn’t worried about the palm tree.
